For serving, the sticky rice cakes are typically wrapped in flimsy Japanese or banana leaves.
The province of Laguna is the origin of this delicious Filipino food. When someone travels to or visits Laguna, giving a “Pasalubong”—a present to friends or family—is customary and expected. They are each offered separately and wrapped in a piece of white paper.
